In the current economic climate advocacy is certainly high on the agenda for museums and galleries. The Fed has three key messages:

  1. Museums empower people through learning, participation and inspiration
  2. Museums and their collections strengthen community identity
  3. Museums make a significant economic contribution through tourism and regeneration


We have produced an advocacy toolkit to help you develop an advocacy strategy or even download and adapt the proforma advocacy strategy . We have also collated useful data that includes statistics and case studies  that can be used as part of your advocacy or marketing campaigns.

As part of the recent Welsh Museums Festival 2014 we produced a facts and figures document which can also be used to support your key messages.
